.ROADS AND HIGHWAYS MINISTRY ENCOUNTERS MEDIA ON SAFETY CONCERNS

As part of efforts to ensure accurate reportage and create a connection between the media and stakeholders in the road and high way sector, the Ministry of Road and highways is engaging some selected journalists in Koforidua in Eastern Region to and to that effect, Journalists will be trained to appreciate what goes in the sector so as to relay the information to the general public.

However, pilot programmes will soon commerce in primary schools to introduce children to road safety awareness. The programme is being organized by a private company in collaboration with the National Road Safety Commission and the Ghana Education Service.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Over three hundred road safety club members have also been selected to be trained.
