PSYCHIATRIC NURSES DEMONSTRATES FOR LACK OF LOGISTICS

      

Psychiatric nurses in Accra have threatened to embark on a demonstration about what they call a lack of logistics to effectively perform their duties, especially, the shortage of psychotropic drugs. The Hospital is responsible for the treatment welfare, training and rehabilitation of mentally ill. The nurses are saying that, they are exposed to dangers associated with treating aggressively mentally deranged patients without the requisite medicines. The nurses are demonstrating because of lack of logistics to operate and have promised to lay down their tools by the end of the week if immediate solutions facing the hospital are not addressed.
