DRIVER RUNS AWAY WITH EMPLOYER'S MONEY

A 25-year old man, Lawrence Bekoe who works with Indian gold buying Company has been declared wanted by the Prestea District Police Command for allegedly stealing GH 600, 000 belonging to his employer. 

Lawrence, a driver of the company bolted with the money whiles travelling with his boss and leaving his superior behind. The Prestea District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendant of Police, (DSP) Mr. Timothy Dassah, told the Daily Graphic in a telephone interview that the incident to the Police on Saturday, May 24, 2014.           
                                                                
He said Rajat told the Police that the incident happened at about 8:30 am on May 24, 2014.
According to Rajat, the company located has its head office is located in Tarkwa and two offices at Bogoso and Dunkwa.                                                                                                       
 Rajat reported that, he travelled with Bekoe to the Bogoso office from the head office with some money to purchase some gold. 

On reaching, Bogoso, Rajat moved out of the car to get one of the officers at the Bogoso  office to assist them carry the money but when he returned to the car, the driver sped off, attempts were made  to stop him but to no avail.   
                                                                            
 Rajat then reported the case to the Police. A thorough search was made of which the car was found abandoned on outskirts of Bogoso and the money was nowhere to be found.
Mr. Dassah said, the Police has mounted an intensive search for the driver and urged the public to assist with any information which can lead to the arrest of the suspect.
